It is an easy to use, patent pending, system that works simply by looping a durable tag through merchandise and sealing both ends together with a tamper-evident security seal complete with a unique serial number.
The 360 ID Tag was born from a discontent of potential exposure to return fraud and from a necessity to protect our businesses from 'use and return' or 'counterfeit product switching'. The end product has been made possible by bringing together the expertise of two business who are global leaders in their respective fields of detection technologies and specialty textiles.
Firstly the 360 ID Tag acts as a deterrent to undesirable buyers.
The 360 ID Tag prevents wardrobing – ie wearing of a garment / use of a bag etc and returning it within the sellers specified return time (new: tuck in the manufacturer tags, or preowned: where there are no manufacturer tags).
Removes the onus from customer service agent or online seller to prove that the item has been worn.
Traceability of returns through a unique ID serial number on the security seal. What was sent is what is received back.
Provides sellers with hard evidence that item is not in the condition it was shipped if tag is removed (wardrobing, returning fake/used but identical/counterfeit item).
If an item is returned from outside of a seller’s country and the seller is incorrectly charged import duties they can prove return status to the authorities.
Using the 360 ID Tag is accessible to all sellers regardless of sales volumes due to the low cost of the tags.
No special equipment or tools are required - just scissors!
The 360 ID Tag will not damage fabrics as there are no pins which puncture the item.
The 360 ID Tag allows sellers to protect their investment in their stock and for it to retain its value.
We recommend disclosing to your customers that their merchandise will come with the 360 ID Tag.
Once they are committed to keep their purchase they can simply cut the 360 ID Tag with scissors or peel off the tamper-evident security seal.
The information on the 360 ID Tag reads: 'Returns will only be accepted if this 360 ID Tag remains attached.' The 22mm size tag has this information written in English, Spanish and French. The 10mm tag has the information written in English only.
Examples of return policies that you could use:
'Make sure the merchandise you return is unused, in its original condition with the 360 ID Tag unaltered and still attached, otherwise we will be unable to accept your return and issue a refund.'
'We have received feedback from our customers that they want to ensure the items they are purchasing have not previously been worn. We have also come to notice that we have received a disproportionate number of returns which show signs of wear. To guard against this happening we have attached a 360 ID Tag to our items. All items can still be tried on but to ensure they are returned in the original condition the 360 ID Tag must remain unaltered and still attached.'

No! The tag is made of a synthetic polymer composite which is soft enough to prevent any damage to the tagged product. The tamper-evident security seal should be wrapped around the front and back of the tag where the 2 ends overlap to ensure no adhesive is exposed. Click here to visit the How to Use page.
Once your customers have decided to keep the item they purchased from you they can either cut the 360 ID Tag with household scissors or they can peel off the tamper-evident security seal.
Materials composition and functional performance are exactly the same, the narrow width was designed for ease of attachment with smaller items (sunglasses, jewelry, sneaker eyelets etc) and the wider width for clothing, handbags etc.

The tamper-evident security seals are printed with unique serial numbers.
The design was a collaborative effort between 3 founder partners, each with specific areas of expertise - Luxury Online Sales, Brand Security and Authentication, and Materials Science and Manufacturing.
The tag is made of a synthetic polymer composite which cannot be torn, but is soft enough to prevent any damage to the tagged product, it is fully recyclable as with other poly recycled items.
One of our founders, Neil Ivey, has worked in the anti-counterfeit and Brand Protection industry since 2001. Neil is currently the Vice-President of the Document Security Alliance, a group formed by the FBI and Secret Service following the 9/11 attacks. Neil’s intimate knowledge of trusted partners and the methods used by those committing fraud and producing counterfeits gives us the ability to commit to our customers that everything is being done to protect you and beat the fraudsters.
Our seals are produced in a secure facility in the US where documents like Social Security Cards, Driver’s Licenses, Postal Money Orders and other secure high value documents are produced. All numbers are checked at the time of printing and afterwards to ensure there are no duplicates.
360 ID Tag has a record of every number produced and records who the number was sent to, so in the case of a dispute we can identify the appropriate owner of that number.
While it is theoretically possible, we have placed additional security features that make it nearly impossible and certainly economically prohibitive to reproduce these seals.
Co-founder Mike Huth is the owner of a paper mill in the US and has produced a variety of paper and synthetic paper substrates over his career. The current material we are using for our Synthetic Composite Tag (SCT) is produced by a proprietary method for our use. The investment required to produce the material is staggering, and like our seals we have methods of verifying the Tag.
Yes, although in order to protect all of our customers we will not send unreasonable quantities of either by itself.
Each roll will be sent in a dispenser box. Small quantities of tamper-evident security seals can be stored inside the box flap.

Additional brokerage fees, duties and taxes are mandated by the destination country and are the responsibility of the customer. Any additional fees are based upon the value of your order and will be collected by the carrier at the time of delivery. 360 ID Tag has no control over or anticipation of these charges.

Returns will be accepted, only with written authorization when less than 10 days have passed since the date of receipt.
